Tér és Társadalom ('Space and Society'), founded in 1987, is a quarterly scientific journal of the HUN-REN Institute for Regional Studies, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies. As György Enyedi, the founder of the journal formulated, Space and Society “does not publish achievements of one single discipline, but scrutinizes the relationship between space and society from various perspectives of different disciplines in a specific way”.
During previous decades the journal established itself as the leading theoretical periodical in the field of social sciences dealing with space and spatiality. The published articles reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the field.
