Decentralisation in the World's Energy System

Abstract

At the time of the industrial revolution began a process, as a result of which, in the developed countries centralized energy systems were established (including high-capacity power plants and power lines). A similar improvement in the developing countries during the 1960's created a sizeable part of the national debt. The probable solution, the decentralization, because of many reasons nowadays . spreads mainly in developed countries and the new technologies only slowly get through to the others.

The regional science must search the energy systems and the decentralization of them as a part of a particular area's natural and social-economic space. This paper shows some elements of the decentralization (with particular examples) and search the spatial changes that it causes.
